Email Marketing: How to Use MailChimp in WordPress

MailChimp is a powerful email marketing platform that can help you manage and talk to your clients, customers, and other interested parties. WordPress, on the other hand, is one of the most popular website building platforms available. By integrating the two, you can enhance your email marketing efforts, capture more leads, and improve user engagement. This guide will teach you how to use MailChimp and WordPress together.

Step 1: Creating a MailChimp Account

First, you need to have a MailChimp account. If you haven’t yet:

Step 2: Creating a Mailing List

Step 5: Setting Up a Sign-Up Form

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to “MailChimp for WP > Forms.”
  2. Click “Add New” to create a new form.
  3. Design your form as per your requirements. You can customize the fields to gather information such as the subscribers’ names, email addresses, etc.
  4. After setting up your form, click “Save” to store your changes.
  5. Now, you will be provided with a shortcode that can be used to embed this form on your WordPress website. Copy this shortcode.

Step 6: Adding the Sign-Up Form to Your Website

  1. Navigate to the page or post where you want to add the sign-up form.
  2. Paste the shortcode you copied in the previous step where you want the form to appear.
  3. Click “Update” or “Publish” to save your changes.


With these steps, you have successfully integrated MailChimp with WordPress, allowing visitors to subscribe to your mailing list. Now you can start creating and sending out newsletters, promotional emails, and more through MailChimp to engage with your audience.
