Our rebirth: from marketing agency to app studio
Decrypted Tech started as a marketing agency. We kept running into the same wall: great marketing pointed at websites that couldn't do anything. So we changed what we build.
Decrypted TechSeptember 8, 2026
For years, Decrypted Tech was a marketing agency. We ran ads, wrote posts, set up Google profiles and built the occasional brochure website for small businesses around Lawton.
The marketing worked. The problem was what happened after the click.
The wall we kept hitting
A roofer's ad would bring in a lead, and the lead would land in an inbox nobody checked until Friday. A boutique would get traffic from a holiday campaign to a site that couldn't take an order. A service company would book calls from Google, then copy every job by hand into three different apps.
We were pouring water into a bucket with holes in it. More marketing wasn't the fix. Better systems were.
What we build now
Today we build custom websites with the back office built in:
- Contractors get a site that sells the work, plus a CRM, estimating, project management and daily logs behind it.
- Retailers get an online store with real inventory and order management, not a plugin held together with tape.
- Service businesses get booking and payments that actually land on the calendar.
- Every build gets AI where it earns its keep: drafting follow-ups, summarizing notes, answering questions from your own documents. Never a chatbot badge for its own sake.
The marketing experience didn't go anywhere. It's why our sites are built to be found, and why every back office tracks where each lead came from.
Why "rebirth"
Because it's the same people with the same stubborn focus on small businesses, pointed at a better target. We'd rather build the thing that runs your business than keep sending traffic to something that can't.
If your website advertises your business but doesn't help run it, take a look at the live demos or tell us what you're working on.
